• Walk-in/appointments: walk-in hours for all sites/departments will be restricted to 10am to 2 pm; appointment only hours from 8-10am and 2-4 pm; appointments are preferred for all hours

Coco the cow comes to visit Federal Terrace!

Ms. Vicky, and  Ms. Katt are the front office personnel for Federal Terrace Elementary. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the school office at 556-8460 and they will be happy to assist you. Please recognize that the busiest time in the school office is 8:30AM-10 a.m. If your message is not urgent, please wait to contact us until after 10:00AM.

Pick Your Children up On Time

Please be diligent about picking up your child. It can be quite traumatic for children to wait even 10 minutes if they have not been warned ahead of time. Current telephone numbers are required for each child, so we can contact parents if it becomes necessary.

Drop Off

We do not have adult supervision until 8:10AM.  Your child(ren) will be on their own and unattended if you make the choice to drop them off at the school before 8:10AM.

Parents must call the absence line 556-8460 -  the evening before or the morning of a student's absence, then press “1” to leave a message stating your name, your child's name and the reason for absence.

Extended Absence

In the case of an extended illness STILL call the school every day.   Whenever possible get a doctor’s note to excuse your absence.  Eventually the school will require a doctor’s note.

Vacations

Vacations while school is in session are STRONGLY discouraged, but if it is necessary to remove your child during the school year, you must notify the office one week in advance. The office staff is required to document this absence as unexcused.  Teachers will also need a one week advance notice if requesting work.
